the Year of Faith.

Pope Benedict XVI called us, especially young people, to deepen our understanding, knowledge, proclamation and love of our faith.

Here are some ways to achieve our goal:

J U N E

Quo Vadis Days is a 3-day camp for young Catholic men (grades 9-12) to learn more about the priesthood, to deepen their faith, and to better discern God's call in their lives at the Immaculate Heart of Mary seminary in Winona, MN. The dates are June 18-21, 2013.

For more information, contact Rev. William Thompson at the Diocese of Winona (507-454-4643), wthompson@dow.org.

"The priest continues the work of redemption on earth.... If we really understood the priest on earth, we would not die of fright but of love.... The priesthood is the love of the heart of Jesus." -St. John Vianney

STUEBENVILLE NORTH
YOUTH CONFERENCE

JULY 12-14, 2013
Cost: $275.00

This is primarily an invitation to spiritual growth. The conference weekend is about developing the gifts given at Baptism and sealed at Confirmation. It's about hearing dynamic speakers instruct and challenge teens in: prayer, chastity, service and the power of the Sacraments. You will discover the Christianity is not for the weak and timid; it is not a crutch; and it is not boring!

It is about meeting hundreds of people on fire for the Lord: laughing, crying, talking, singing, praying, dancing and being encouraged to take a stand for Christ.

Host:  Steve Angrisano:

A veteran musician, composer and youth minister who has been featured at 7 World Youth Days, served as Emcee for ’05 ’07 ’09 and ’11 National Catholic Youth Conference, Emcee’d the last 6 Pro Life March youth rally’s and has been featured at numerous diocesan youth conventions and conferences. Steve’s easy, honest style of ministry is born from who he is: a committed witness to the life and love of Jesus Christ.

WORLD YOUTH DAY

 July 16-30, 2013

Our main summer trip this year is our pilgrimage to meet Pope Francis in Rio, Brazil for World Youth Day. The trip will cost approximately $2,200 per person. PARENTS ARE INVITED TO BE PART OF THIS EXPERIENCE TOO!

from the message Pope Benedict XVI  proclaimed for World Youth Day 2013-

"Dear young people, you are the first missionaries among your contemporaries! At the end of the Second Vatican Council – whose fiftieth anniversary we are celebrating this year – the Servant of God Paul VI consigned a message to the youth of the world. It began: “It is to you, young men and women of the world, that the Council wishes to address its final message. For it is you who are to receive the torch from the hands of your elders and to live in the world at the period of the most massive transformations ever realized in its history. It is you who, taking up the best of the example and the teaching of your parents and your teachers, will shape the society of tomorrow. You will either be saved or perish with it”. It concluded with the words: “Build with enthusiasm a better world than what we have today!”
